I am the Managing Partner and founding attorney of Baum Law LLC. I am a litigation-focused trial lawyer who approaches every case with discipline, strategy, and urgency. When a client’s freedom, future, or livelihood is at stake, preparation is not optional—and neither is the willingness to act decisively when the situation demands it.

A significant portion of my practice is devoted to criminal defense, where I represent individuals facing serious charges, including homicide, OVI/DUI, drug-related offenses, firearm charges, and various misdemeanors. I primarily practice in Cincinnati and Hamilton County and have substantial experience representing clients in Clermont County and Butler County. Each criminal case is built through close examination of the evidence, procedural posture, and constitutional issues involved. I prepare matters with the expectation that they may need to be litigated and am unafraid to challenge the government’s case at every appropriate stage.

I also represent individuals and families in personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, serious injuries, and wrongful death claims. These cases often arise at difficult moments, and my role is to provide clarity, direction, and steady advocacy. Each matter is evaluated on its own facts and governed by applicable law, with a focus on accountability and long-term impact rather than quick or careless resolution.

In addition to litigation, I advise entrepreneurs and small businesses on contract drafting and negotiation, including non-compete agreements, memorandums of understanding, and other business agreements. This work is guided by a practical goal: helping clients protect what they have built, reduce avoidable risk, and resolve issues efficiently—while remaining fully prepared to litigate when necessary.

Outside of my practice, I am a father of three. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay and my law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While in law school, I participated in the Ohio Innocence Project, an experience that continues to inform my approach to advocacy and accountability. During law school, also participated in the Indigent Defense where I represented individuals charged with misdemeanors. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach advocacy, accountability, and the responsibility that comes with representing others.
